1. When did you join CrossFit BC?
I’ve been coming here on and off since February, 2012.

2. Why did you choose CrossFit?
I came in for a trial class out of curiosity and was pretty much hooked. It was so much more fun than any other gym I had gone to. I really enjoyed working out with a group and with the wide variety of exercises it never got monotonous. It was like a playground for older kids with so much to learn and improve upon. I just always found myself wanting to come back.

3. What changes in your health, physique and overall performance have you seen since starting CrossFit?
Physically I am healthier than I’ve ever been. My muscle mass has definitely increased in size and definition. Performance is great too – I can jump into almost anything (biking, hiking, running, climbing, team sports…) and not embarrass myself even though CrossFit is the only regular training I get.

4. What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting CrossFit?
Be diligent with your form and listen to your body.

5. What is your favourite CrossFit exercise?
Ring muscle ups

6. What is your favourite activity outside of CrossFit?
Anything with bikes!!! From touring, to trails, even trips to the store – I love being on 2 wheels.

7. What is your proudest accomplishment at CrossFit?
RMU and BMU

8. Have you made any changes to your diet?
I’m eating a lot more of everything, which is a nice perk.

9. Is there something that people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m gonna be a dad!!!

10. What/who inspires you the most?
The peeps in this gym that work their butts off, take a beating and keep coming back for more.
