1. When did you join CrossFit BC?
– June 2020.
2. Why did you choose CrossFit?
– my regular gym routine felt like it was plateauing and had a few friends suggest I try it out.
3. What changes in your health, physique and overall performance have you seen since starting CrossFit?
– I am wayyyy more active in general, lifting heavier, and trust myself more around the gym.
4. What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting CrossFit?
– pay attention to technique! Leave your ego at the door.
5. What is your favourite CrossFit exercise?
– clean & jerks are great for boosting my ego (that waits for me at the door, of course).
6. What is your favourite activity outside of CrossFit?
– love biking around the city and scoping out new spots.
7. What is your proudest accomplishment at CrossFit?
– handstand push-ups!! I set smaller goals to achieve and was so happy when I got my first one.
8. Have you made any changes to your diet?
– quite a few! Increased protein intake quite a bit and started tracking macros a bit more with the help from Sophie.
9. Is there something that people would be surprised to know about you?
– I’m not Russian!
10. What/who inspires you the most?
– tons of people, but I’ve been really proud of all the progress I’ve made so I’m going to say those wins are the biggest inspirations.
