1. When did you join CrossFit BC?

2. Why did you choose CrossFit?
My wife (Carolyn) and I were looking for an activity we could do together and we finally found one we both love! Plus the gym is 2 blocks away from where we live. It is consistently the best part of our day.

3. What changes in your health, physique and overall performance have you seen since starting CrossFit?
I’m stronger, more flexible, and in better overall shape.
I sleep better, I’m less stressed at work and, most importantly, I feel like I’m coming back home to my body.

4. What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting CrossFit?
Come and get started. All the workouts can be scaled down (or up) so that they’re doable and challenging for you. The coaches are great. The community is wonderful.

5. What is your favourite CrossFit exercise?
I love learning the Olympic lifts, especially snatches.

6. What is your favourite activity outside of CrossFit?

7. What is your proudest accomplishment at CrossFit?
Failing a bench press lift. I’m working hard to trust my body and I’m curious to find out how strong I am. This was an important first baby step.

8. Have you made any changes to your diet?
Not super intentionally, but we are definitely eating better.

10. What/who inspires you the most?
Everyone in the 6:30am time slot. Everyone is kind and shows up consistently to do their best before the sun has risen! That is inspiring.
