1. When did you join CrossFit BC?

November 14, 2021. A big shoutout to my buddy Fabio for getting me into CrossFit.

2. Why did you choose CrossFit?

To improve my quality of life.

3. What changes in your health, physique and overall performance have you seen since starting CrossFit?

I think it’s important to share how much CrossFit has improved my mental health. Before I started CrossFit, I was in a low and dark point in my life and CrossFit has given me a community, a challenge and a feeling of fulfillment, something I’ve really struggled finding while living in Vancouver.

4. What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting CrossFit?

Focus on yourself, keep track of your progress and listen to your coach, they’re there to help. 

5. What is your favourite CrossFit exercise?

Honestly, the ones that intimidate me so all of them!!!

6. What is your favourite activity outside of CrossFit?

Hanging with my 3 year old dog, Bo.

7. What is your proudest accomplishment at CrossFit?

Sticking with it and trusting the process.

8. Have you made any changes to your diet?

One personal goal is drinking a minimum of 4 litres of water per day. I also keep track of my daily calories using MyFitnessPal and I’ve cut down on alcohol because two day hangovers are real!!!

9. Is there something that people would be surprised to know about you?

I’m a hardcore Shania Twain fan. I’ve been going to her shows for 20+ years now.

10. What/who inspires you the most?

I’ve been listening to this podcast called One Percent Better and I’ve been inspired by their CrossFit journey.
