1. When did you join CrossFit BC?
I joined CFBC in April 2022 as I was looking for a gym close to my home and work. When I typed Crossfit on Google CFBC showed up. I tried the free classes back in November of last year before joining in April.

2. Why did you choose CrossFit?

So I can eat A LOT of delicious food. Japanese, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Jamaican I love them all. 

3. What changes in your health, physique and overall performance have you seen since starting CrossFit?

My chest, back, biceps, triceps, quads everything has gotten bigger and more defined ever since I joined Crossfit BC. I never thought I will be consistently using the 35lb DBs for some of the workouts. I always thought for some reason I’ll be stuck to the 25lbs and below. Also due to the increased exercise I’ve been doing my sleep quality is better then it ever was!

4. What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting CrossFit?

Just try it out. You’ll be glad you did. The community is great and also once you are in the class you don’t think about anything else but what’s in front of you. 

5. What is your favourite CrossFit exercise?

Lately my favourite Crossfit workout is the rope climb. I didn’t have the strength to pull my self up the rope but I’ve developed throughout the months and now I can get the ceiling no problem now which I’m really stoked about!

6. What is your favourite activity outside of CrossFit?

Exploring the city, going to places I’ve never been to and charting the area so I can be an expert on how to get around when the time comes I’ll be like a walking GPS.

7. What is your proudest accomplishment at CrossFit?

Being able to perform a rope climb. I thought I’ll never be able to get to the top but lo and behold after a few months I’m able to go up and down the rope no problem now.

8. Have you made any changes to your diet?

On top reducing my calorie intake I’ve been also practicing intermittent fasting which is a game changer for me. Its what helped me to stay focused on my diet and health 

9. Is there something that people would be surprised to know about you?

I’m a big anime fan! Dragonball and One Piece is my inspiration to workout and obtain my ideal body and stay both physically and mentally healthy.

10. What/who inspires you the most?

Seeing someone trying their best and pushing them selves to their limits. It’s always hard at first until you take the first step.
